I Want To Fix My Kids

I want to fix my kids, and once I fix them I want them to stay fixed.
Don’t they realize that life would run so much more smoothly? Our school ...attitude, clothes, friends, treating each other with kindness and respectboxes would get checked according to schedule. We wouldn’t have to fight the same battles over and over again about attitude, clothes, friends, treating each other with kindness and respect... Mom would be at peace, maybe even breaking out in smiles a little more often, and not speaking with that strained, stressed voice. Joy would be the reigning emotion in the household.

Adventures with a Neurodevelopmentalist

Linda Kane, a Neurodevelopmentalist (ND), was brought to HCOS by the Special Education department.  It was a true blessing, as she spoke in three ...simple interventions that can be done at homelocations around BC and many teachers and family came to hear her speak about development. 

She gave many of us hope, that with simple interventions that can be done at home.  Some of the areas she addressed are:  organization, ADD, ADHD, learning disabled, dyslexia, sensory issues, Autism and myriad of other labels.  Many of her recommendations are things that can be done in anyone’s learning program.
