Amazing Kid on A-Channel News
by Angela Paine and Robyn Hearn (grade 7)
Congratulations to Robyn Hearn for being selected as an Amazing Kid on A Channel News! Robyn’s involvement in her community and church, her fundraising for projects inGuatemala and her schoolwork all played a part in her being chosen but highlighted is her upcoming Revolutionary Adolescent years are not a vacation from responsibility but rather a starting pad to the possible accomplishment of lifeInspirational Rally. Here’s what Robyn has to say about the rally:
To the whole world!!!
We hope you all can come, whether your 9 or 102, to this revolutionary inspirational rally! There are a few points to this event but they all revolve around one fact we believe too many people forget, the adolescent years are not a vacation from responsibility but rather a starting pad to the possible accomplishment of life! We believe one of the best parts of this event is the fact that no matter what age you are you will get something out of it, and everyone will go home thinking about something different! Our hope is that most of the teenagers will go home planning for the next "Big thing"! We also believe that adults will go home with a changed attitude towards youth, and younger children will go home inspired and ready for the next step towards changing the world!
This event will be filled with all sorts of demonstration of youth doing big things! We will have appearances by the band "Fisher" and Robyn Hearn will be sharing of other people doing remarkable things! We will also be serving lunch and there will be some great prizes!
What a great experience as A Channel came to her home to film a news story about her and then the live presentation of $1000 scholarship on the evening news! Congratulations Robyn and thank you A Channel and Save-On Foods for supporting youth who are truly Amazing.
