A Practice of Care

In the midst of the busiest year our school has ever experienced, we have been talking to our staff about the importance of operating within a community of care. This was a theme we had decided on as a school-wide focus before there was a global pandemic, and before we experienced a massive funding cut in May. God knew what was coming our way and the importance that care for each other and ourselves would have in the upcoming year.

Staying Connected

A couple of weekends ago, my wife and I visited Mystic Beach on the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail. It was a beautiful day on land, warm and dry, but the fog clung stubbornly over the water. On the return leg of the trail, we came up behind a trio of young backpackers chatting and laughing as they walked. At one point, they were discussing Thanksgiving plans.
